67S: rocker trim with a wide rubber insert and a different base than standard moldings. Looks firsthand almost similiar to standard 911/912 molding.

68S-73S: aluminium panel which covers the entire rocker panel. SWB and LWB size.

67S trim with the wide rubber

The 67S has the wide rubber insert and stops in front of the torsion bar cover.

The 68S has the wide polished alum face running down to cover the rocker panel and it runs from wheel opening to wheel opening.

Does anyone have a photo similar to the one above of 67 normal trim to compare? Even a description of the difference between 67S and 67 normal trim would be helpful.

    Thanks

On 64/66 cars as well as 911T cars without S-package, the standard rocker trim's rubber insert has a ROUNDED end. Its almost similar to the Porsche 356 design.
The unique 67S rubber insert has a slightly square end, as seen on Bobs photo.
Alu base too is slightly thinner than 67S trim.

    68 Deco rocker trim

Early911Zoo, some one was nice enough to post some detail of a gorgeous 68 911S. These are what the full aluminum deco's look like. They seem the same thru the 1970's but have a different part number and are 2 1/4" shorter (short wheel base cars). They be - a one year only item.

Dave Aase had an NOS set of 67S side deco available at the LA swap meet....$1495, and it included the rubber!
