I've always wanted a SWB car and an early Turbo to add to the collection. I could sort of get a 2-for-1 with this. Sort of ....Originally Posted by 72targa

A "must have the latest and greatest" ego thing - or the car went ass end into a tree/pole/wall and what the heck, lets put big flares and some of them new style bumpers on it?

I can tell you that when I owned my first early 911 in 1983 or so ... I wanted in the worst way to buy a conversion kit to make it look like the new safety bumper cars - who wants one of those "old-looking" cars? The only thing that stopped me was a lack of funds in my wallet!

Besides the 63 split window GM product, I remember VW bug split windows were cut out to look newer.
My 67 911S had the Cibie hood lites removed in 1969 to make it look less "funky".
remember this?
