Why the shock? I know this car and you'd have to look long and hard to find one as nice and as original (one excellent repaint only, everything else original...and near-perfect). And, it's a prime example of how a good S SHOULD drive. It's so nice I expect it to go high.

The red button is probably the hazzard switch.I am really curious about this interior the red button next to steering wheel
Richard
It is, indeed, the hazard flasher - the whole switch lights up! Might be aftermarket, but it certainly looks period correct.
The radio is a European Blaupunkt. And, yes, that is the original interior - black over red. (A little tamer than the E I sold you, Raj!!)
Car was just tweaked and tuned by Robert Gross, so you now know just how well it drives!!
I think it's a hella switch. Some where I might still have an all green switch. They are out of my uncle's BMW 1502 which I think is from that same era.
Richard
BTW I have learned something about radios in respect of US vs. European. The European radios reads U L M, US AM and FM.
So this cas has an Euro radio which has the shorter band.

This car belongs (or did until recently) to a list member in Canada. The engine case is magnesium (4080688) and if it had been made just a few days earlier, probably would have had an alu case engine which stopped at 4080680, missed by 8 cases being aluminium!

I recall Italy had some weird deviations but, I thought the SWBs had the hazard switch in the upper right bank of switches.

The red carpet is correct as per the COA.
So then the seats and door/rear quarter panels have been changed out? Does the COA say red leatherette interior or specifically red carpet?Originally Posted by mjk911
