New replacement rubber bushings for front A-Arms available now?!

Following a thread on Pelican http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showt...266716&page=13

and it turns out somebody is now producing replacement rubber bushings for the front a-arms and they can supposedly be self installed.

very little info has been provided about the material and install process however i did email classicandspeedparts.com and found that the price is $59.

i'm hesitant to order these because, as i mention in the thread on Pelican, there is no discussion about what, exactly, is so different about this product that makes it work when APPARENTLY others have failed to produce such a thing (short of a $500 check to eliphant).

the price sure is nice! it seems like if Neatrix works for the rear spring plate and can be DIY then the front should be a similar deal?

Wil posted this on the 912bbs.org. I inquired about due to lack of install info and the long winded past debates. Apparently, based on the reply from Wil it is "not that difficult". I later got a call on the cell from Wil with a little bit more info about how they need to be boiled in water at 200 degrees and then should slip on. I was at work when he called so I didn't get to talk long.
So if this works out then great! Waiting for people to install and provide feedback.

Someone who should know told me they would not work well.

Won't divulge name as don't have permission but most would recognize him as an expert.

    Time will tell....

Any insight on why they likely won't work out well?

You know it's strange. People have been waiting for these for a long time...a lot of anticipation...a lot of hype. They come on the market very low key...as a matter of fact like. Venders are like "just heat them up in boiling water and press on". This whole long winded discussions on vulcanized from the factory...need to buy new $800 control arms...send your control arms out to have them magically re-appear with rubber bushings for $500...I don't get it.
In other words...I've heard nothing and I don't know why.

So it's not just me that finds this odd.

Maybe the price differential between the new stuff and all other options is so great that noone believes they could possibly be effective. Vendors and the maker surely aren't doing much to promote them. Shockingly half-assed actually.

Boil and shove or my favorite for internal ones freeze and shove normally works fine. I will probably order a set.
