    1969 911S from Californiacars.com and ebay

Any opinion on this car. I spoke to them a few days ago and they're looking to get 47K. Black trunk is not normal right? Should be the same color as the car.

    Cheers.

Black in trunk and engine compartment is correct for 69. Color in trunk was introduced during 70/71 depending on Karmann or Porsche build. Color in engine compartment introduced for 73.

Problem with this car is that its been painted Guards Red.

It was actually a Burgundy build 69.

Thanks for the feedback - I've now added another requirement to my search. Must be repainted the original color.

Is that Signal Orange? Sure is purdy. The stance is right on, IMO.

Raj, I didn't know that there was a trick to figuring out ROW or US by a number 1 placement in the chassis number. That would be cool, but wouldn't a 11931---- chassis number be a S targa?

Looked like signal orange to me. Bahama is lighter and less "in your face" than signal.

Anyway, the seller never responded to my first, simple email asking basic questions so he must not be too motivated to sell.
