World Class 1967 911S For Sale

Hello boys and girls, if you have been waiting for a one-of-a-kind here it is.

    1967 911 S Coupe
    VIN 306758S
    Engine #960746
    $140,000 US

This is unquestionable the most spectacular, authentic, mechanically perfect and meticulously restored 1967 911S in existence! A one owner, all numbers and colors matching example which was purchased new at Vasek Polak on January 21, 1967. Driven a total of only 71,500 miles, starting in 1987 a world class, bare metal repaint and restoration was begun for competing at national level concours events. During the preparation process the car was completely disassembled at Del Session’s body shop in San Jose California. All parts and every piece of hardware was meticulously documented, cataloged, refurbished and bagged. The engine was rebuilt at Dieter Schofnen’s Shop in Lomita, California.

Concours event competition began in 1990 and since that time the car has amassed an unprecedented more than thirty first place honors, including the incredibly competitive PCA Zone 7 overall award in 1993 and 1994, the Best of Show of the Restoration Group at the 2001 Milwaukee Porsche Parade and Best of Show co-winner at the 2007 San Diego Parade. A complete list of all concours events and history is available. The ownership file of invoices and memorandums is over an inch thick and contains the COA, Letter COA, and Original Vasek Polak invoice.

The car has been professionally maintained and complete preventative maintenance and restoration updates have been continuously performed over the past twenty years to ensure the absolute perfect condition of the car.

The only material change to the original components was the replacement of the headliner, with a factory original, in 1996.

This is truly a one-of-a-kind 1967 911S which could not be realistically duplicated for less than $250,000. The car is located near Seattle, Washington and is available for inspection.

How is it on track days? I imagine it keeps the driver really focused.

Ah, just giving you a hard time, Tom. I love trailer queens, even if they do make my car look like a slut. I'd have to upgrade my wardrobe and get my hair cut more often if I owned that car. But it is beautiful - best of luck with the sale.

    Stunning Car

    Tom,
this car was worth a trip to Seattle and the owner and his wife were gracious enough to allow my brother, father in law and me to spend a major part of a afternoon, a few years ago, looking over this car and to try and document its spectacular condition. I'm very proud to see some of my snapshots in the portfolio.

I saw the car in Milwaukee and was floored on how well it showed, (on approach I thought it was the low mile car you brought to Appleton in 1984 but immediately saw it was the "S"). I completely floors me that a sand beige can look this good.

It's a car that a Photo CD could document how a 1967 911S should look. (It is the touchstone for the perpetual build/rebuild car I'm working on - knowing my car will never look this good or be this correct).

Did you mention the original purchase and provenance prior to being a show car, Priceless.

That is an amazing feat. To restore each original piece, other than the headliner, simply amazing.

Did the lenses survive in that condition or is there a way to refurbish them?

Is all of that interior material actually original fabric?

Well, well, well, this car is simply a steal at this price.

    Good luck with the sale.

I saw the car at the Kirkland concours in '07. The original interior is so nice, it's hard to believe the rest of the car ever needed a restoration!

Question: Dieter Schonfnen, is that now Lomita 911. The partner of Robie in the DIRO days?

Both were ex- VP mechanics, broke away even before the ANDIAL boys.

This is the nicest condition '67S I've seen. It is always trailered and then rolled to it's destination (then jacked up and cleaned). I've inspected it on the rack at my mechanic's shop a few times and the underside is sick clean. Combine this with the fact the owner is one of (if not the) most fastidious and thorough concour guys on the west coast, and you have a no-excuses car. No relationship to the sale - just first hand repeated observations.

One of the few cars, where "stunning" would actually fit in the ad description.

    911s

    Very beautiful, i agree!

I would reward myself and the car by driving it after the restoration, that's what makes a vintage Porsche so special, you don't have to be afraid to use it.

    Good luck w the sale
