It's now on Samba... I'm interested in this one and have sent the seller a request for more info. Is anyone familiar with the car?

The rear panel is slightly curved, something I haven't seen. Is it an aftermarket piece? Thanks for any assistance!

Thanks Dave, the seller is Rich @ California Cars in Thousand Oaks. He provides the VIN 9112301265, engine #6321812, and color 132-9-1 ivory.
I'm waiting for undertray and wheelwell photos, as welll as pics of apparent rust on bottom of passenger door and fender. Car is supposedly from Virginia.

The rear panel is aftermarket fiberglass, and he believes paint to be original.
Interior needs carpets, dash and detail, electric SR works fine. AC complete and functioning but needs service.
Nice color combination, attractive for the climate here in Florida.
Recommendations for a reputable service in that area to do an inspection would be great.
I've been looking for a decent S, and looks like I missed the '68 w/2.7RS at Auto Kennel. If this is a solid car I'll be happy.
Many thanks!

Their ad says Factory air conditioning. Not so, the dashboard pieces is a VPC unit and there is no compressor on the engine.
Regards, Brad
Interesting rear-end treatment...
They have this '69 S for sale as well...

Thanks for the A/C info, Duane and Brad... I know the car's been for sale awhile. Tom, in Florida everything is rusty.
A crappy Cali car looks pretty good compared to some of the fright-pigs offered here!
I like '72s and if this one's been taking up space for so long, maybe an offer well south of asking would make it a possible...
Yeah, I'm a masochist.

This is a very collectible 1972 911S sunroof coupe with matching 2.4 liter MFI engine #6321812 with Carrera chain tensioner update, the only year with the external oil fill door, factory A/C car, 5 speed transmission, factory fuchs alloys, tan head rest seats and a solid original chassis. This is an unrestored survivor that runs and drives excellent. The perfect addition to any Porsche collection!
