Welcome John, Serial numbers 300236-305100 were 66 cars with designation as a 911.Your car should have engine numbers in this group to match: 903551-907000.This is from a PCA book.Tom

If you are looking for RHD information you can also try DDK (if you haven't already).

I have now found one of the threads on DDK I was thinking about. If you read through it and click on the links you will find more threads on the number of early RHD cars. I have to say that David (LGK 6D) on DDK is the man to get hold of. He is the owner of a very early RHD car in the UK and he appears on the DDK thread. Join DDK (it's free) and pm David. I am sure he will help you. Anyway here is the thread

I agree that David is the best source for RHD 911's and 911's in general.

The simple answer to your question is that you have a 1966 911.
I use the paint code transition from 64xx to 66xx codes as the telling change. The first 66xx code I know of is on 301900. Two complicating factors are that the cars were not completed in VIN sequence exactly, and the car could be custom ordered with an older paint code; the carry-over colours that had a simple code change would not require a custom paint charge, so these are easy to spot. This is my split of the 911 coupes:
    1965 MY 300001 to ~301899
    1966 MY ~301900 to 304959
    1967 MY 305101 to 308523
