    Ignition pull switches: Twin-plug setups

Does anyone know where to get the pull switches used to control the ignition banks in some of the Group 4 and RSR factory/privateer cars? They are the ones mounted under the guages to the left of the steering wheel in the attached photo. Also, does anyone know where to get a three position switch (off/pump1/pump2)to control the twin fuel pumps? I have seen it mounted to the right of the steering wheel under the guages.

    Thanks!

I've used these in the past:

No regular source - you need to check with your Bosch agents for NOS parts.

    Aren't

Those switches mounted under the instruments smaller than these heavy duty ones? I mean, you don't need anywhere near that much current plus would they even fit? Speaking of which, how ARE they mounted? Anyone have better photos? Thanks.

I'll try and dig up another picture of these - I have one somewhere and they are mounted in the same position.

Here's a pic of the switch for the second CDI box in an original '73 RSR.

    Oh

    Tom,

They make more sense now, the first pic made it look like they were coming from the bottom of the instruments themselves. Thanks.

Do you mean these ones shown in their 356 section ?

If so, IMO they are vastly inferior (& period-incorrect) compared to the originals ...

I have some of these on order. There are others who are using these. The retaining nut is black and I am not sure about the capacity of the terminals. I simply could not get the ones you posted in your picture.

The other question I had was with regards to the dual fuel pumps - I presume these were for redundancy and if so must have had a switch to control their operation. does anybody have any details on this?
