Period Road Car Pictures (Old factory shots etc)

Some of my favourite posts are Historical racing pictures and rally pics but after curt posted some period road car pics I though we need a thread with only road cars in period. No drive way shots of old car taken now but rather some shots like these I will steal from Curt....

Bob, that thought always crosses my mind when I see those pictures. Or... If I could just have my choice of the cars in the photo...

I would love to frolic nude through the field of brand new SWB 911's above. Nirvana. Hahahaha!!

I really like the SWB targa hardwindow above. I test drove a '68 hardwindow targa a few years back, it was purple with the insets in the Fuchs painted purple also. I remember it was like $9K or something and I shyed away because of all the rust/shoddy rust repair that the owner was totally open about. "Oh yea, we used to drive it through the winters. When it started to rust my son in law welded patches on".

I see the same car all over the internet for like 20 or 30K nowadays.....yikes.

Here are some shots from #111 Christophorus and a Tangerine 72 911S from the 72 sales brochure. These are my 3 favorite colors....Light Yellow, Tangerine, Viper Green. The sales lot is unidentified in Christophorus, but wouldn't it be neat to wander through it today.

That looks to me like Don Wester Porsche+Audi in Seaside, CA circa 1973.

Yes, this photo was taken during the Monterey Porsche Parade in '73. The 911 on the left has the entrant's # (Russel Fereday in a 2.2T) in the rear window.

    Gib,

I know why you also like the Tangerine car, it has black headlight rings. First time I remember seeing a street car from a period photo with those black headlight rings.
