There is so much information in this thread, it should be published in printed format. In fact, I had started converting every page of this thread to PDF format since the beginning so I could make my own little book. But when the S Reg forum software changed several months ago, the images no longer convert to PDFOh well, thanks Tom for documenting all of this for us!
Totally agree with Curt here. The information here is simply mind boggling (and great!). Thank you Tom for taking the time to document your fantastic build so thoroughly. Absolutely, love the black watch tartan seats. And an old race worn rear screen? Are you kidding? That is fantastic! Looking forward to seeing the finished project. RITV this year for sure.

Hello Brian:
The plexi rear screen seems to have come from the same car as the balsa lid, an ALU skinned door and one of the door panels. These were all in a batch of old race stuff in Germany and each has some paint or overspray in the identical race livery of blutorange and signal yellow. You can see a bit on the rubber surrounding the plexi screen in the image below.

The plater sent back the 356B Carrera 2 pipe clamp, seen at center in the second and third images, finished in the correct silver zinc finish. The clamp and correct finish detail were identified by fellow board members Rolly, Joris, Andy and Manuel. It was great to solve this mystery in open forum! Thanks gents.

Other details include:
-spare tire harness mounted with the same footman's brackets and oem fine thread phillips head screws usually seen on the rear seat kick panel and parcel shelf
-twin Bosch pumps shown as mounted by the Race Department using Porsche 356 (and SWB 911) ignition coil brackets
-early style 2,3L Werks strut brace borrowed from the Race Department parts bin for Type 912 programme (upper radius rod for rear upright; see last image of this post)
-VDO fuel level sender for 100L has a 72 date
-Race Department hard cross over lines presented in bare metal rather than alternative treatments of satin black black paint or thermo wrapped
Cockeyed fin indicates the Blau gas cap (courtesy of a Benz motor bus) is not tightened down on the filler neck in these images.

The first and second images attached to this post provide updates relating to engine bay details:
-the (now matching) pair of three pin CDI boxes of the post Dec 69 pattern have been fitted
-the twin Bosch CDI ignition coils as seen previously on the ANDIAL 129 engine mount bar cleaned up really nicely, even the decals, and are installed on the coil pedestal at the front of the engine compartment
-the ignition and engine harnesses have been assembled and installed; retaining ciips are fitted for both upper and lower plug leads although a review of the April 70 spare parts list indicates that they are appropriate for the six lower plug leads only: 901.609.132.01 Retaining clip below Qty. 6
-fitting welded to oil fill neck to accomodate the Preschona valve (uberdruckventil) and the neck re-plated
-Preschona pressure relief valve mounted on the oil fill neck and plumbed with by-pass line and correct factory style fitting
-the 226 mm diameter eleven bladed 906 fan with 1.3:1 drive and matching fan housing left in dark magnesium
-original Marelli 12 lead distributor cap could use a proper Marelli decal...this version of the twin spark Marelli came from the 917 engine (which used a pair of them; one for each bank of six cylinders) and is distinguished from the earlier 906 version by the integral adjustment bracket and 30mm diameter neck, as compared to the separate bracket and 27mm diameter neck of the 906 part. Jerry Woods replaced this Marelli's original four sets of points with two ignitor units, each with a self contained inductive pick-up and Hall effect transistor functioning as a switching device. The ignitors obviate the need to adjust/replace points and also solve the problems these distributors often experienced with point bounce at high rpm
-the steel inlet funnels on the 41mm 2R high butterfly manifolds are shown with Werks stack covers, the transluscent natural color plastic resin covers linked by chain in sets of three; these nestle down into the stacks and fit snugly like a plug and on the outside top circumference project outside the outer lip of the inlet funnel
-our friend in Milan, and self-confessed Bonomelli addict, andrea70 will notice that the old 901 washer bottle/catch tank still requires the fitting of the rubber 356 retaining strap and a red Aeroquip dash 16 cap...

Proper garb for the hunter calls for clothes of green adorned with trim of silver. So it has been since the middle ages.
And while we hunt not for boar or the stag nor lust to see birds of prey take game in flight, we nevertheless revere the tradition of the hunt.
So with her cloak of olive green, the Tart, a huntress of an entirely different sort, mind you, presents her Talbot 300 Sr in silver!
The Porsche Werks validated the perfection of the Model 300 Sr by assigning it a factory part number:

In these images we see the backspeglar “…stamped with a perfectly rendered logo, one reminiscent of a silver smith’s proof mark: Talbot & Co. W. Berlin.”
It will sparkle in the sunlight, like the one on Herb’s gullwing (see page 30, Post #300) and perhaps inspire a young person one day to have one just like this on another hot rod.
The Kremer brothers also revered the Talbot Sr and the last image shows their similarly adorned 2,3L "ST" at Spa in 1970. The mirror for the project car was positioned on the door so that its mounting points can be accessed through the factory holes in the door frame. It appears that the Kremer car has its Talbot mounted in exactly the same spot.
Note large diameter flat head rivets peeking out from the door jambs in first and second image, the factory style fasteners used to affix ALU door skins.
