At the right purchase price this would be a nice one to restore..... all documentation and hard to find bits included......

Man, I know it is fixable but there is rust even in unusual places like Raj says...you know there is tons more. Going to be a big labor of love..

at $12,000 I think this car is at the top end of a reasonable purchase price....... really like the light set up also.....
86 Sport Purpose Carrera "O4"
Looks like a crazy rust bucket to me... likely to need a full rotisserie restoration involving someone very skilled with welding and chassis jigging. Its also missing the entire MFI system. Its at $12,500 now... with 9 days left on the auction.
With how S prices have been going lately though, it will surprise me if it brings less than $20K and $25K would not be shocking.

thanks for pointing out some of the things I just don't see yet on these early cars, now you guys got me thinking I may want to pass on this one.

I see what you mean....... this car is very complete.....
86 Sport Purpose Carrera "O4"
based on our threads about how special the '69 S is, and the other thread about the value of the euro sending so many cars overseas, I wouldn't be surprised to see this car end around 20,000 euro.
my feeling (I'm not sure if Luke will back me up) is that when you are doing a full-blown restoration, bare metal repaint, the added cost of "a lot of rust" versus a car that is just showing "some" or "a little" rust really isn't that significant.....either way, this is going to take a minimum of $70,000 to put it back into shape, probably all-in you'd be more like $90,000 plus the price of the car.
but you will be among a small circle of '69 S owners.....I hear they are pretty cool
