. . . 60 Years of Passion in America"
Came across this in one of my Boss's Panos, a few months back . . .
I know, I know --- not exactly pretty . . . . but then again, neither is a Panamera. Or a Cayenne. Or a Cay --- well, anyway . . .
Went to the Porsche Museum Shop, on-line ---- couldn't find.
Called the Local Dealer --- never heard of it.
Called Porsche NA Customer Support --- got a contact!
(Now I think I know why some badges are so rare! Leave bread-crumbs, why dontcha!))
Just turned-up, yesterday. Anyway, for anyone who's interested, here's my correspondence w/details, etc . . . .
Dear Mr. Kreiskott,

Me too!!! I guess the brownish color doesn't help it becoming a bestseller, but a very nice item to have!
Picked this up last night. Anyone know the story of these types of poster? The gentleman that I bought it from has several, but I only bought one (I collect Vic Elford) until I can determine real value.

Dave,
Most think that the banners were a cheaper way to promote 911/912 successes in rally, hillclimb events as well as class victories at the bigger endurance races without having to pay Strenger et al. and run them off posters at 33x46 sizes. I've only ever seen them for 1967-1969. Porsche did one more in this style in 1976 to promote the 936 win at Le Mans. I wanted to include them in Lewandowski '08 but Porsche wasn't interested and it would have been very hard to find all of them... so maybe it wasn't a bad decision!
I have a few myself and I think it's pretty cool to see some names that have faded into history listed among the winners.

I bought a Targa Florio banner at Bonhams in February and it fetched quite a high price!
