I count thirteen that you can see.
Categories of a thing count as one, i.e. the airbox clips (whoops!) count as one thing, not as the eleven that are incomplete. Likewise, oil lines are one thing, not two!
Good luck!

I didn't count the muffler; only got to 10.

Oh oh, you've thrown the gauntlet down; two bolts on cross bar, muffler, carb linkage, breather hose, complete ignition set-up, heater hose 52mm clamps, oil line from case to cam housing, alternator belt drive and pulley, rubber wire separator (that actually goes with ign. set-up) and those nuts on the cross bar look bigger than 15 mm ATF.
Hurry up John, I fired mine up today, first time in two years!

I didn't make the connection with 304065 & I don't know enough about these early swb cars either ...
- & I suppose the title asks for engine pieces anyway.

1. two bolts on cross bar,
2. muffler
3. carb linkage
4. breather hose
5. complete ignition set-up
6. heater hose 52mm clamps
7. oil line from case to cam housing
8. alternator belt drive
9. pulley
10. rubber wire separator (that actually goes with ign. set-up)
11. those nuts on the cross bar look bigger than 15 mm ATF.
Great analysis gents! Here's my running tally:
1. Two more bolts on engine crossbar- correct
2. Muffler and clamps - correct
3. Carb linkage- correct
4. Crankcase breather hose and clamp- correct
5. Complete ignition system -correct
- distributor cap
- wires
- rubber wire separator that goes in the fiberglass shroud
- metal wire holders that affix to the cooling tin.
6. Heater hose clamps top and bottom -correct
7. Cam oil lines. Probably going to have to litigate to get my original lines back but that is a story for a later day.
8. Fan belt
9. Alternator pulley
10. Airbox clips. I have these ready, have to insert the cotter pins and bend them over.
And now the extra bits. . . look very closely!
11. Alternator wire harness. This should stick out of the rubber grommet in the shroud.
12. Distributor clamp nut on the stud in the case. Also not visible but missing is the hex head screw with a screwdriver slot for the clamp.
13. Carb heat paper hose from airbox snout (ok, perhaps this belongs on the chassis!)
Ed. . . at this rate I don't think I'm going to make it to Charleston. . .
Today I have to FIND all these little bits and put them on. . . .
Andy, you can be forgiven for thinking this was a later normal engine- because of the black fan strap. That is an original that was black zinc plated, I have an original parkerized strap covered in cosmoline, waiting for show purposes.
