911T Targa MFI 103k miles factory Silver/black as mentionned on C.O.A. just received. Good mechanically, strong engine and smooth transmission. Fuchs wheels. Very good restoration candidate. Has bubbles on bottom doors and a dime size repairable rust spot on passenger side fender and jack area passenger.
VIN: 9113110110
Same here, spoke with the owner of the tangerine 73.5 Targa posted on CL for just $30k (http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/2692367422.html)
- registration expired in Oct 1999 - this is the last time the car was in operation and has been stored since
- car is not running
- I asked him if he was willing to have a shop go over the car to verify what needs to be done to get her back on the street, but he refused. Rationale: If I would put that money into the car it would be worth much more, as confirmed by several Porsche specialists.
I do wish him good luck in selling!

We are pleased to feature this 74,000 mile, highly original, unmolested 1972 Porsche 911 T. This 911 T features its original 2.4 liter flat 6 fuel injected engine, and original 5 speed gear box. The Porsche presented here remains highly original undergoing one recent exterior repaint in its original signal orange. The original sheet-metal, floors and rockers all remain in excellent, rust free condition; the floor-pans remain untouched original. The engine compartment and under-bonnet areas remain original as well. Mechanically this car is excellent. The motor shows all the signs of health; tight, responsive, no leaks or smoke; the 5 speed gear box shifts excellent; the suspension, steering and brakes remain very good all working together producing a pure 911 experience that only good early cars can deliver. This car was delivered new April 13, 1973 at Novak Porsche Audi, Omaha NE, sold in 1977 and kept in the same family until recently. It is documented with original owners manual, Maintenance book, emissions book, and original vehicle tags.
Does anyone have any thoughts on the originality of this car?
Thanks
It looks decent but the repaint is sloppy. For $35K, get a PPI and see what else you might be getting into. I do like the color and the stock look.

Is this the same one that was at "Ooly and Something" for a while? [I can't remember the dealers name so I can't search, but they are in Indiana]
