Note the differing amounts of fuel. I'm figuring gasoline at 6.2lbs/gal, so you can go back and twiggle these numbers for a better comparison . . . but you get the idea.
Some of the things that stand out for me . . .
1) 914s aren't that light!
2) Older doesn't necessarily denote Lighter
3) Compare these figures to Porsche's homologated weights with the FIA . . .

Wow.
I don't have my Owner's Manual handy but the published weight figures I've seen on-line quote 2390 lbs/1085 kg for a '70. I weighed my car on a commercial truck scale, locally --- 2360 lbs/1070kg.
Curious what kinds of actual measured weights people have for their cars.
