These are some rare never before published pics of Zasada's '73 911RS. October 1974 at the POR-WRC rally in Michigan. Enjoy.
That's the old Marquette VW-Porsche-Audi dealership in the background.
Note oil lines routed along hinge?

Another interesting detail on the car is the hood prop - looks very similar to the one currently available thru Porsche. Not sure what the spare part is that is taped to the underside of the hood?
almost looks like the throttle linkage (coat hanger) down by the hear box. though it does not have the U shaped bend in the middle of it.. but the end of it (with the funny shaped loop, as it shows closest to the window side of the part) looks right as does the length...

Zasada sold the RS to John Buffum at the end of the 1975 season (a replacement for Buffum's 1971 'Lets Boogie' 911). Buffum used the car in 1976 and part of 1977. It is always referred to as a 'works Porsche'. The last time he raced the car was at the 1977 Puerto Rico 24 Hour Rally (he won). That's all I know!
Edit: Bruno Kreibich showed up on the scene in a 911 about the same time Buffum switched to a factory Triumph. Was it the RS? Not sure, but I'll do some asking.
