Well. I have to say the debate has certainly been lively and fun to follow. I have my bumper on the workbench, weights installed, and ready to go. Now I just have to figure out who is going to come ove and help me install this heavy beast.

Interesting, I looked at several FIA cars at the recent Silverstone Classic and none had bumper weights,

I think that the homologated weight of a Period F car is 1050kg.

If it's an FIA car and runs to a HTP (Historical Technical Passport) then the correct homologated weight for a 2.0L would be:

    911S 974KG (2147 lbs)

    911T 923KG (2035 lbs)

This weight would be with or without the bumper weights (Porsche suggested that you remove them for competition purposes).

    Ciao,
    n.

Nicolas, Chris is correct. The Duel cars are period F up to '65 (1050 KG). Your data is for later cars which of course still can be 2.0L

    Hi Richard,

Yes, these weights are for the 1968 Season (2000 cc) in GT 2, GT 3 and Gr. 5
I must have missed the reference to 1965.

    Ciao,

Weights are in and the bumpers is bolted back on. Next step is a test around the beltway.
