    Anyone see/have my engine/trans?

    Bought a '68 911T Targa, sans engine/trans. It originally came with engine# 2080535 and trans# 2280485 (901/03). Needle(s) in a haystack I know - BUT - stranger things have happened in this community. Thanks for helping me in my search.

    Judging from the serial number you are talking about an aluminum case. That being said, it's likely still out there. I think I saw a member mrbmw2002 had a 68' 911T motor for sale. You might need to throw a wider net out to pelican and the samba. I'm restoring a 68' soft window 911 normal and the short wheel base parts grab has moved onto 68'.
