Size: 101.6 KBI completed a rebuild on my 1971 911 T motor, and started it for the first time!! I built the engine with my older Brother, and it was a great experience. We tried very hard to be faithful to original Porsche fit and finish, and did not over restore the engine or engine bay. The original sound pad was left untouched, but cleaned, and as much was left original as possible. The car is an original 6262 light yellow sunroof coupe, with 76,400 miles. It runs very well out of the gates, with break in and fine tunning to go.

Last week, I stripped out all of the old, rotten carpet. I was pleasantly surprised how nice the floors looked. I was going to install the new carpeting myself however the guy installing my Speedster seat carpeting gave me a great deal on installing everything. Picked up the car this morning after having the German Square Weave carpet installed ( I could not find any info. whether or not square weave was available in 65' but I don't care, I like it. ) Big improvement to say the least and the seat install is finally complete. If anybody in Phoenix needs upholstery done, Scott is the best as well as affordable.

I pressure washed my dirty 915 Trans (original baked on dirt since 1973) going back in my Widebody project (Last Saturday). This Saturday I installed a new clutch disc in preparation for the engine/trans installation. Cleaned up all the bolts/washers that will be used in the installation. Cleaned and installed the trans cross-member mount. It's ready to go in!

I stuck on a set of Raybestos brake pads and spent the day racing around the track with Magnus and Marco. "What Did You Do to Your 911 Today" doesn't get much better than that!

I did a similar job, but unfortunately there must have been more moisture in Montreal than Arizona as the interior floor was not so nice as yours... however, I have stripped the underseal from the underneath and it is in great condition on the outside: if only the PO had removed the horsehair a few years earlier. never mind, they are scrubbing up great and will only need a couple of spot welds where someone has used a floor jack in an inappropriate position!
