Chuck that is *great* documentation.
Here's a picture of a bag that looks like yours that I dug out of the catacombs:
The bag is much more supple than most bags.

Those are some beautiful tool kit..its all there..![]()
Original to my July 1973 911T cis. Far from complete. I admit I have never cleaned it, I just let it sit in the trunk. The ties have been lost to time.

This bag is from my early '73S, build date 8/72, or somewhere around there.

I have a 73.5. Not the original owner. But I purchased it 25 years ago with 40k miles and original paint and interior, with a tool kit, after it had sat in a barn/garage in Sacramento for 11 years. I will provide a picture tomorrow. It has a red screw driver - which has a long flat rectangular end ending at a very narrow blade-tip - the long part is to hold a fan pulley and the tip, I think, to adjust points. The bag does not have snaps or a tie. It has chrome latch type clasps. If that makes sense. Picture tomorrow.
Ok, now I'm doubting my memory. My '67 912 has the clasps. I don't recall what my 73.5 has. Again, more tomorrow. Sleep now.
Ok. I was right. It does have the clasps. Here are pictures. The tools have a couple extra tools I bought: soft sided socket for lug nuts and distributor wrench. Some of the fuses were originally there, some I bought. The red screwdriver says "10000 volts W. Germany" on it. It is not reversible. Interestingly, I noticed the early picture of the red handle says "Germany" not "W. Germany."

Jay...
Is your car an early 73.5?
Thanks,

Makes sense. That's the same kit as the 73 and appears to be missing the 10000 volt Phillips.
Thanks,

John:
While I cannot vouch that my tool kit is 100% correct, this thread (http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...l-kit-question) has much good discussion.
This is the tool kit from my 1973.5 (missing the fan belt wrench and pliers)
