Marco,
You do a wonderful impersonation of an encyclopedia salesman. Lol!
K,

I can compute what goes on in the racing prototype World but the streeter's have different o-pinions sometimes...that's why I'm asking the gallery. Sometimes you get o-pinions from every and any bodies on some subjects. I can take the heat but where is every-body when your asking for their O-PINIONS?
If I paint it, all I will hear is "why did you paint it"! If I leave it alone....you know the drill.......it would be a better sale if you cleaned up that old looking engine!
Thanks for feedback, friends,
KJ

Hmm
Well . . . as long as you're asking for o-pinions . . .
When I approach an Old Car --- especially one like this . . . I always ask . . .
How much of the car is still Porsche's?
. . . and how much is not?
Some people have the skills + resources + drive to completely build their cars from the ground up --- literally . . . and more power to them. Lord knows --- some cars needed it
But then . . . who's cars are those now?
Put it another way . . . are they still something that Porsche built?
Speaking from the Hard Rocky Korps . . .
If it's dirty? --- clean it
If it's broken? --- fix it
If it's missing? --- find it
Restore only what's ruined
Everything else is just everything else
Pretty is nice --- just remember . . . pretty never lasts
Oh, yeah --- and can I drive it?

K...I won't paint my '67. Had it at the Parade Concours last year and I can't believe how may people came up and told me to just leave it the way it is. Way more people than I would have ever guessed. So I say, keep it as is...It's Bitchin' (SoCal talk).

Classic. Very funny indeed.

1973 BMW 3.0CS - Frances (gone but not forgotten)
Oh no Frank...now you got me thinkin' about that! All those PCA a guys were just laughing at me.
K. "L" cars are pretty rare. All it takes is someone to do a story in a magazine about them and "Bam." Things are crazy out there.

Yes it looks interesting with all that surface rust on the 67 911, but by leaving the rust-- it will only get worse with more rust showing up! At some point wont you have to paint it? Chris

Hi Chris, I never get it wet and it lives in a garage, not close to the ocean, so I hope it will outlast me.I guess I'll paint it at some point, but no plans now.

John,
The silver lining is that our cars are still more valuable than most PCA member's cars. Not promoting a pissing match- just stating a fact.
