As far as I know John, no.....
Up to about '69 I believe the Hirschmanns had a chrome tip, and through '73 they could have either a chrome or black tip...
Someone else should chime in....

John asked about "blue tip antenna", not Hirschmann. All blue tips were Bosch, used mainly in 356 B. Hirschmanns were red tip, also 356 (A), the chrome and black tip sometimes were the same, with removable black tip on top of the chromed one, it was plastic.
Thank you,,,, thank you.

The antenna tip color has been a item of discussion with the 190SL people. I have a Hirshmann manual that lists antennas/ applications and spare parts. It lists that blue, red and black tips were all available as replacement parts. I cannot tell from this source which tips were on which antennas. My theory was that red tips were for AM antennas, blue tips were for FM antennas and black tips were for short wave. With so many radios being installed at the dealership, I always am suspect of "originality" as I have seen red, blue and black tips in cars that were close to original. I will email this manual to anyone interested (send me your email address).

Original 1969 car with AM/FM/SW radio, manual antenna has blue tip - put that in your data base.
My Swiss-delivered 1969S SWT also came delivered with a blue tip.
What type of radios were installed in the cars with the blue tip antenna?
