    OK, since you asked...............

It isn't "correct" for any Porsche. It is a replacement antenna from Hirschmann that was probably made in the 90s. The same antenna is currently available (we have them in stock). It comes in a bit different box but is the same part.
    Our price.........................$21.95

There are a couple of cars listed on the box incl. Porsche 911 / 912 / 914 and I do have exactly the same antenna mounted on my 914/6 1970. But I do not know, if it has been changed at some point in time. But the car is of the street since 25 years and it is a restoration project.

The Hirschmann for the SWB looks a little different, e.g. the black shaft is longer an the antenna cable is mounted differently. But I do not know about LWB cars and antennas. Maybe someone can add some pics of the correct LWB antennas.

Jim, Clyde - maybe you can show some pics of the antennas you are talking about.

The "advanced search" shows the same antenna sold for $175 some years ago:

This is a ling to the correct SWB antenna:

The Hirschmann antenna that you are selling is a modern replacement antenna for the original Hirschmann. I can assure you that your 914/6 has an incorrect antenna just like the one you are selling. The "SWB" antenna you sold is the correct antenna. The most obvious difference is in the tube that housed the mast when it is retacted. All the "period correct" antennas have an aluminum tub that is much larger than the plastic one on the antenna in question. All Hirschmann antennas, both for SWB and LWB cars are essentially the same. They also have a removable cable. The antenna that you sold is missing the cable but the connection is clearly visible.

    Regards

All I can say to that is Two wrongs don't make a right.
Maybe Eric would like to chime in.

    Ciao
