Raj,
I don't think there is a consensus on how these should look. There are only 45 but I don't think any two are the same. I have one the Andial conversion cars that was converted to race trim 2x. My plan is leave race suspension on car but install a RS themed interior. I don't see many with the stock C2 interiors left in them. G&W recently "restored" one of these and did very well at Porsche parade. In my conversations with Cole- he said same thing no two were built same way. There is a basically a "new" one for at Canepa that has a RS type interior, they are asking $250k so I guess we can assume that it's ok to deviate from stock interior.

Raj, you might check with Ed Mayo, he has a customers car which was re-converted by Andial right after sold to its original owner. The car is still owned by original owner and has something like 5k miles. One of those time capsule cars.

We'll there at least two as I have one as well. Mine has been used as intended. I have to pull it out and grab some pics. Raj thanks for starting this thread- will be interesting waht folks think about topic, I have had same question floating around my synapses for a while as well. I would think nobody would want to re-install stock C2 interior, as you state Porsche built them that way as a ruse to get race cars into US past DOT etc.

The history on #6- sold by Jim Ellis Porsche to Kelley Moss racing for $71k, converted back to cup specs by Andial on 6/4/93 for $20k, the only deviation to "normal" build was to use RSR/962 titanium valve spring retainers based on Andial's recommendation.

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.
If I was in the market I would be looking for an unconverted example with enough miles to be able to use unlike the car at Canepa's place. That's just me though.![]()
