    Thanks Fritz - it would make a drive to Tucson a real pleasure!! I sort of fumbled into the car, but it is a good one and a great way to get going here. Happy New Year!!

    OR 5 $1 dollar bills. Whatever it is the trick is what that weighs at 6,000 rpm. It's actually quite a bit.

    Or if you've read the "Smoky Yunik" books he claims really tight balance is immaterial once a bunch of oil gets on those parts! I still aim for zero tolerance anyway!

    Clean up

    Removed some nice late 80's trick blue paint by hand from these s cailpers to reveal the original gold coating. Now to reseal and add some stainless cups before refitting.

    Remove the rear shock absorbers and install the 2 nice Hella registration plate lights.
    Soon on the road again. Still few hours on top of the 80 hours already spent.
