Seeking Input: What is the Reocmmended Finish for 5.5j x 15 fuchs?

I want to hear from the scholars of the community. What is the recommended finish for fuchs 5.5s on a restored '68 SWT?

    original finish?
    all polished?
    something else?

would you expect the finish on the fuchs to affect the value of the car?

thanks for any/all constructive input (but i expect the other kind, too).

If you have taken the time and money to restore the car, then I would restore the wheels to stock.
The wheels are some of the first things one looks at when a car is first presented.

Couldn't agree more with Harvey. (Go figure)
I'd only consider alternative finishes if the car was modded somehow. If you are going for an original appearance resto, you really can't beat a properly restored original set of Fuchs (done by Harvey of course).

Yes, I've spoken with Harvey on the phone and I respect his input very much. Of course, he is probably right.

It's just that I recently bought an 'all-polished' fuchs 5.5, and it is BEAUTIFUL!!! So, there was/is some doubt on my part.

    But thanks for the input.

Mike - I've seen the polished 5.5 you bought and it is indeed a glowing work of art. It's all personal preference. If you plan to keep the car for years and enjoy it, do whatever you want, knowing that you can have Harvey refinish them to factory specs should you decide to put the car on the market. I do agree with Harvey in that people make a lot of assumptions about how the rest of a restoration went based on the look of obvious things like the wheels. - Matt
