    Memories from the Daytona 24 - 1983

Starting off slowly. I just found these after nearly 30 years.

The infamous "Chicken Man". Ugliest bastard I've seen at any track (including NASCAR events). Usually seen being dragged around the infield in a Radio Flyer Wagon.

A dishonest man with a fast truck and some shaved apes might have done something other than take a picture.

The very reason I don't drink Miller Lite or carry a purse.

Ice skates , hosiery , and the choked chicken lend an air of elegance to an otherwise mundane photo

Perhaps the indicators of true enthusiasm ?

Go and enjoy, critics be damned ...

Agreed! Two fisted chicken choker you missed one, and the Salem Menthol's! What a great picture.

Thanks. The "Scrounger" misses very little in his forays into anthropology. This chap was particularly interesting.

PS: Should it be made into a poster for a psych ward? "Before and After, perhaps?

Preston Henn's T-Bird Swap Shop 935 (Over All Winner)dispatching Group 44 Jag and an "over-run" photo near sunset. These "flame out" events were spectacular at night.
