Also, you just need to not gun it on the straights....the fun is the 2nd and 3rd gear twisties......make a 50% pass to see that the coast is clear, then whip a U and make a run.
I hear ya, but man, it seems like everyones ripping this road to shreds. Its all anyone talks about! It almost seems like it would be an ATM for the county.

There are plenty of other roads around. When one gets more heat, you head over to a different one.

Not sure it may help, but you need to turn them a bit before placing them on the fender, then turn in the opposite way to fix.

    Long block done!

Today at long last, (but for the chain housing covers), I've completed and sealed up the long block 960029. Whew!

With Marco's help, I drove it to the Phoenix Swap on Sunday! Being an East Coaster, taking a targa that hadn't been driven in 23 years out in the rain didn't bother me. Had a great time, finally met in person some great folks and bought some nice trinkets. Before the drive to the Phoenix Club I replaced the incorrect red bar badge with a proper patina-ed orange bar badge that I purchased from Jim Breazeale at the Lit Show on Saturday. Early 911S Registry rocks!

And as for the rain, all you SoCal-ians, suck it up. This is what I came home to last night. Nine inches of fresh snow and 5* Fahrenheit.
