    FS: 1974 911 Normal ... My Car

    -1974 911 Normal
-No motor ... soon to be 3.0L SC engine
-No trans ... soon to be original, matching number transmission (rebuilt)
    -No seats
-Reproduction 1975 Carrera tail with original rubber (I think it's original, but I'm getting older and can't remember this stuff anymore)
-Yellow ... lots of original and non-original paint on the car
-SC flares ... not a stellar install job, but they cover the wheels so I'm cool with that
    -Never been wrecked
-Front bumper crush tubes replaced with later-style bumper shocks ... rears remain original
-Front pan and tank support replaced by John Esposito a few years ago
-Rust in A and C pillars repaired by John Esposito right before the first POC race of the 2013 season (pictures to prove it)
    -New headliner
-New A and B pillar vinyl
-Freshly double-wrapped leather wheel (74/75 Carrera style)
-One sun visor ... on the driver's side ... passenger gets nothing, but the screws are actually installed underneath the headliner should the next owner want to install a visor on the passenger side
    -Brand new factory speaker-grill dash
-Crappy, poorly installed RS-style lightweight carpet
-Crappy, repop RSA door panels (I would throw them away if I were you, but they've been on there since I got the car and they work)
    -Autopower roll bar (yellow)
-NoHo Speedo 10K tach (had it set a little loose so it could keep up with the 2.5L)
-Speedo recently repaired by NoHo Speedo (broken odo gear) ... mileage shown doesn't mean anything
-911SC aluminum rear control arms with fairly fresh wheel bearings, Elephant Racing sealed monoball bushings at torsion tube, and Smart Racing heavy duty bearing retainer
-G50 Carrera rear sway bar with adjustable drop links to remove preload
    -23/31 hollow torsion bars
-911 SC front suspension (Bilstein struts) with under-body sway bar (stock bar)
-Smart Racing suspension bushings front and rear ... custom machined for perfect fit
    -SC spring plates
-911 SC brakes -OR- 930 brakes ... 19mm master cylinder, and don't try to tell me it's not going to work because I've run it this way on street and track forever and they are bad mother's that could stop an Amtrak
    -930 tie rods
-Elephant Racing adjustable bump steer kit
-Windshield was new but now it has a crack in it ... too bad
-Front and rear windshield seals are new ... fit pretty good, too
-Hood shocks work ... have for years
    -Clock works
-Newish door seals (the old, original ones were the reason for the rust)
-7X15 and 8X15 Fuchs wheels (round, but need restoration) ... 225/50/15 Hoosier R6 front tires (decent) and 245/50/15 Hoosier R6 rear tires (fresh)
    -Factory fog lights
-Factory intermittent wiper switch (THAT WORKS!!)
-Carrera front cooler with fan wired to switch on dash

Sounds like the soundtrack to Gilligan's Island...

No motor, No trans, No seats; (not a single luxury). "Like Robinson Crusoe it's as primitive as can be"

Nothing 'normal' about that car or owner.

Didn't you have a nice 2.5 short stroke motor in there?

That first picture brings back some great memories from a simpler time .......Great weekend with some like minded individuals..Marco...Jens...Reza..Lee...Luke..."G" ...JimG...Dr R...Lew...just to name a few...drive some good roads during the day, then hang out with some good friends all night...then repeat.....you can't beat that.

a very well sorted car that has been tweaked and driven right by someone who knows how to do both very well...GLWTS!
