    need help - front seat question 911 T/E '72

Hello, it's my friends car. In the CoA are the front seats with "leather" Nr. 11, but in the car are the beautiful Petita seats, see Picture. Are they correct for the car? Thanks for helping

The seats could have been reupholstered or could be outright replaced. They are the correct seats for the car (recliner arms, peanut headrests etc) and the seat backs have collapsed appropriately for a 40 year old car. So if they were reupholstered, it was a long time ago and the seatbacks were not rebuilt at the time.

Not sure if this answers your question.

I will point out that the dealer frequently swapped seats to make a sale..sometimes the whole interior....especially if they were non standard. Yours both are non standard..leather and hounds tooth.....
    Just a thought.

Seats look too smooth to be leather. Leather has cracks and crinkles. Chris

They do not look like leather to me, also if a '72, I think they should be D headrests. Most original pepita cars have pepita on the document.

72s have "peanut" headrests. 72 and 73s have virtually identical seats (in appearance). I have seen CoAs that incorrectly state "leather" when the car clearly came with vinyl.
