Thomas, who's orange Gulf jumper is that?

Thomas. that is a very interesting picture. Is it the 1969 Monte?? It looks as if it is a practice car or support car. Do you have any other details??
By the registration it is a werks rally car 308101S built for Elford for the 1967 RAC that was cancelled (due to foot and mouth disease). Later it was car #43 in the 1967 Le Mans (DNF). even later it seemed to be used in some advertisements for CIBIE.
From this photo it would appear that it was still a werks car at the time of the photo - showing how well they recycled their cars
I wonder if it survived???

again a fantastic photo. Car S AA 3128 was a practice or recce car for the 1971 safari according to my records but was NOT one of the team cars. However there is some suspicion that it, and an identical "practice car" S AA 3129, may have been also used as a event car for :
#7 Entrant: SEARS TYRES; driver: R.Gerrish
and

#37 Entrant: MOTORSPORT CLUB; driver: A.Kling
it would be really interesting to know if it was also a rallye ST like the team cars S AA 4825 (car 33); S AA 4826 (car 1) and S AA 4827 (car 19). That would mean there were 5 1971 "safari" rallye ST's which would tie in with some of the numbers quoted in various references (although 3128 and 3129 seem to have disappeared in the mists of time)
