rs27rules, I wish I knew. It has seen a lot of action in your country. ! Did you buy it's TDF rallye plates from French Ebay ? I was tempted.
On a separate note, you did not get back to me regarding the Le mans documentation. ? If you have what you say you have, I would appreciate an email.

Was it the same car Karim.? It would not surprise me. You can make out the 2.2 sticker in the rear window. I have recently found out some great information regarding how much these cars changed between races.

We have covered the engines in various STs showing that both Webers and MFI were used through 72. One point we have not discussed is which Bosch CDI units were used and how were they mounted. Here are some pics showing what looks to be the stock CDI..not the later RSR type with an adjustable rev limit. The Brumos ST at RRIV had the second CDI mounted in front the fuel filter console, while most I have seen were mounted side by side at the rear of the fuel filter console. How did the factory mount the CDI units for factory prepared STs?
This brings up another question for me: was there a rev limit built into the Bosch or Marelli twin plug distributors....I don't think so. Did these cars run without a rev limit? We know the stock Bosch CDI didn't have one.
Pics are from RS0001, Brumos '70 ST, Ginther ST, 72 Kremer prepared Swiss ST.

Gib, in post 417 1st picture, I wonder if that was a 69 chassis, because in 69 the CD box was mounted in that forward location, so they just mounted the 2nd one back on the relay board.

Ed:
I took these pics at RRIV of the Brumos ST, which I think is a 70. I didn't realize that the 69s had the CDI mounted in front of the fuel filter...interesting. I wonder if there was a factory part for a wider Sports Purpose fuse panel that would allow mounting the second CDI.
We need some expert research from Hugh and Flunder.

Not that I'm an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but it's been said here on multiple occasions, by multiple members, that many (if not all) of the (real) Werks ST's were indeed pulled from the original batch of LWB lightweight chassis made in 1969, which would most likely, technically, make them MY70. Although the confusing part is that (apparently) the factory pulled their Werks cars from this batch of LWB lightweight shells well after that, and simply stamped them with the MY numbers they needed to carry per the FIA homologation rules.
Looking forward to hearing how right or wrong this info actually is...
