I bought these, knowing they didn't work as the plastic trumpets are in great order.
Anyone got some working ones where the trumpets are damaged so I can do a transplant or point me to where I may get these working?

I've never done these but I have rebuilt old Bosch horns used on MB cars and BMW bikes. (and they work, I might add)
The principle has to be similar.

Clyde....Tom is right....not much to the horn....usually a clean up is all that is needed.....inside is a round disc that is vibrated by an electro magnet......remove the 6 screws around the perimeter carefully....may need to soak.....open up and you will see not much to them...rust on the disc and tip of the elec-mag is usually the culprit
Absolutely right. Do not fear the horn. It cannot hurt you. Some you can actually "tune". Lots of fun on a budget! Really.
Throw back a pint and go for it...
Or worst case scenario; throw back 2 or 3 pints and pay someone.![]()

Here is the extent of my problem....is there really any hope of bringing this horn back?

Looks like a nice challenge.

You think I thought it looked like a nice pile of junk
I fear if I soak the disc with the magnet attached in rust killer that i may have nothing left

Oh that is ruff.....the magnet side should clean up.....the disc looks to be crumbing away and will fall apart....there is a paper gasket under it around the edge..you can see a piece of it on the mag side.....you really just need parts....I think the regular straight trumpet horns have the same innards....
Get a set of the black trumpet horns and change out the trumpets.
