Good work here folks. A minor nit for the spreadsheet -- 1111 is ivory, no?

    Milou,
txs. Excellent additions. Some open points especially still on 492 chassis/trim, which would be very interesting to know as it is right in the middle of the period with quite some changes.

    Some points of verification:
1/'extra inlet on snorkel: 492 yes, 1666 no'
Sure about this? I would guess it would be the other way around, no?

2/ Do you have a picture of the early front seat. What is distinctive versus other 3 screw seats (3 screws in reclining mechanism, in stead of the later 2 screw). I only read there is a difference in early cars, but do not know what it would be.

3/ 'hollow door seals: yes to 1666'
this is peculiar. Could be of course, but it is against the expectation

Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end, but it is -perhaps- the end of the beginning. The grid is stabilizing, helping us to arrive at some careful conclusions.
Input from Milou above and from Urelfer and 356rider (txs for yr textual corrections!) in PM's in last 24 hrs is included.

I reorganized the grid chronologically, to show changes from presumably before 1/1/65, during 1H65 and after MY65 ended mid 1965. We (roughly) checked literature (Dr B Johnson, Paul Frere, parts books) to verify our conclusions. Not always a 100% confirmation, but still.

Comments welcome (did I represent yr input correctly?), more checks on cars and literature also!

What about the angled exhaust tip.

I can see it on No 492.

Here is another interesting one which changed in '65. Some front bumper guards did not have slots at the top and some did. #1318 does not have a slot at the top.

301382 has one of each. Somewhere along the line some left side body parts were replaced, probably due to collision damage. The left side bunper guard is the one with the slot.
