New early Porsche turn signal switch quality- complain or trim?

    Hello,

I had to buy a new turn signal switch, I bought one from the Porsche dealer for a good price, but I am a little disappointed with the quality. It looks like SWF no longer trims off the mold seam. Should I complain or is that just the way it is today? Should I try to trim it myself? I have attached a comparison picture of an earlier repor switch, so I am not sure what an origin factory switch looks like. Thoughts?

New one is on the bottom.

    Thanks, Neil

Just trim. The old one probably had a more pronounced seam when new, but it smoothed out with use.

The knob is the only thing about the replacement switches that remotely resembles the orginal switches. There is plenty of other reasons to complain about but it won't do a bit of good.

make sure the turn signal locks in both directions. I recently got a new one and it didn't catch on left turns.
