A few pics from this weekend's LSPR rally for the ur quattro fans.

My car last competed 15 years ago on the Brockway Mountain tarmac stage (Copper Harbor, MI). It returned Thursday for a photo shoot:

A storm brewing on Lake Superior in the background developed into a full-blown water spout near Marquette.

I finally saw some of the photographer's work today from the LSPR weekend. I like this shot with the fall leaves (M-26 just east of Eagle Harbor, MI).

Nice, the car looks great! Naturally you're ahead - Tim's got all that extra weight up front.

It looks like body roll, but I think it's the angle of the photo. We weren't pushing very hard. It was the first real drive in the car in 15 years, basically a 200-mile shakedown run, with no problems. Was expecting to go back to get the trailer and load her up from the shoulder of the road at some point

Also saw this recently: Jari-Matti Latvala now has both a road and rally quattro.

Yeah, didn't have time to get my lights on. Speaking of which, I made a nice score from one of Buffum's ex-mechanics. He gave me this light off JB's 82 (the ex-Mouton car). Probably be a wall-hanger.
