Looking for the push/pull dash accessory switch

As used on the 356 and 911 < for coils, other accessories on the race cars. Bosch tells me they do not carry these any more. Part number is 0 986 340 001. They show them on their vintage switch page, but so far no good at getting any traction with Bosch

    help !

The switch in the picture is a aftermarket switch and I don't think it was ever used in a Porsche. It is a 2 pole switch. All the switches used in 356s (As, Bs, and Carreras, 906s etc, etc) were 4 pole switches.

PS: A well known Porsche parts supplier was selling those as replacement switches for OE switches. Of course, that was BS. You can only guess who that was.

So, what are the two pole switches used for, besides plugging a hole in a dashboard......cliff

I don't think I have seen a genuine Porsche switch, yet, in this thread.
I just looked at 2 "vendors" websites and one of them claims their version of the switch (looks like the same exact part in both pictures) is "Genuine Porsche" and lists it for $126.00 the other lists it for $26.00. Somebody is sadly mistaken.

Wouldn't a single pole, single throw switch have two connections and a double pole 4 connections?

It will work in a Porsche but it is a universal push/pull switch.
