Alan K Giddins posted on FB Air Cooled Porsche 911 and 912. He stated, "I spent a lot of time with George Harrison with his 930 turbo at Silverstone 1979."

Robert Redford - Downhill Racer movie PR photo. I assume it to be a '69 T or E with Sportomatic. Note the painted steel wheels with snow tires.

interesting.... by the license plate i would put money on it being a "loan car" from Porsche for the movie. It is S H 7988. S H 7987 was (factory supplied) Zasada London to Sydney rally car, and S H 7989 was a press car loaned to photo shoots etc.

Just read this thread, certainly a different take on history of 911 with some great pics. As everyone is car spotting here is my $0.2
Actually this is a bitsa, a late G series backdate, G50 87/88 that her husband bought for her 40th birthday in 2014. Its a bit of an odd backdate as window & screen surrounds have been bright anodised but fuchs remain G series as well as rear 1/4 panel.

has someone ever heard from a carrera RS in tangerine that Herbert v. Karajan owned 1973?
Maybe some pictures or details about that car? no way to find anything, but watch this:

it can be narrowed down to a couple of cars, maybe one, depending on how accurate the information is.
the card shows that it is a M472 in tangerine
it does not show the engine of chassis numbers BUT it does show the fourth number of the engine is a 0 not a 1 so that narrows it down
it also shows options 409 and 258. Depending on whether these were the ONLY options or not that narrows it down substantially
there were 11 tangerine Swiss delivery cars with an engine number under 1000
of these 10 had option 409 but only 4 had option 258 and only 3 of them had it in conjunction with option 409.
of those 3 only 2 (0027 and 0976) had no other options. the third (0474) had numerous other options including a sunroof and Limited slip diff.
IF it was a Swiss delivery car (likely because of the AMAG papers but not for certain) and from the information on the card
given that 0027 was made in October 1972 and 0976 was made in April 1973 I would suggest that (if all the assumptions above are correct) that it is 0976, especially given the 1973 dates on the AMAG papers.
i dont have much in my records on 0976 except that it is in Switzerland (or was relatively recently) and was awaiting restoration, the engine is rebuilt on another case and it has 930 / RSR brakes
maybe one of the Swiss members will know something more about it?
