Check GRiots kit with 3" glass polishing pads.
Also bought separately Cerium Oxide -8oz by Gordon glass company distributed by Technologylk.com
It takes some effort and time but does a very good job on small scratches.
There are various u-tube videos on similar products and methods.

Rule of thumb used to be that if you can feel it with your fingernail as you drag your finger across the glass it's too deep to polish out. I'm assuming it hasn't changed but i'm willing to be (re)educated.

Do not expect miracles but if you have a rare piece of glass he might be able to save it.
I think I'm gon'a finally look into this....
Got all original glass in the Chevelle that came with some odd scratches in the passenger door glass (just tried to take a pic in my well lit garage... freak'n impossible!!!!!)
However the possible fix goes against common wisdom... the scratches STOP my fingernail....![]()

Eastwood sells a kit with Cerium Oxide powder for mixing the slurry and a thick felt wheel for a big 1750 polisher.
I was able to get some "finger nail" scratches out, but was left with some subtile distortion.
Did it in the car to save an original Sigla 356 windshield and it's diagonal seam gasket.
Long, messy, hard task...but worth it to save the windshield.

Is there any extra caution needed if the glass is tinted?
