I found several different wheel buttons. The left one is a more recent one for sure (I think late seventies).
I think the right one is correct for 1965? Any opinions?

    hello,
I have never seen anything like the right hand one on a 911. the LH one looks like its been plated, or aftermarket. Black oxide finish is original I'm pretty sure.

Current reproductions have a fatter area around where they sit on the wheel. Discovered this when comparing with late '50s wheel nuts. I do not know if the change occurred during the production years of out cars or is just the currently available ones.
