Dealer Description:
Very early 1967 911S soft window Targa was originally delivered to a German Porsche Dealer and used as their new 911S demonstrator. By 1969 the car was in New York, the owner parking the car in the family garage and walking away in 1977. The S has recently been excavated from the same garage having not being touched or seen in nearly 40 years. Chassis 500021S is only the 21st S Targa produced in 1967 and is uniquely optioned with leather seats, outside thermometer, radio and tinted glass. The S is matching numbers with both the chassis and engine being numbered 21, a rare coincidence. The engine turns however I have not attempted to start it. The S retains every matching component, panel, 5 Fuchs wheels, tool kit and is surprisingly solid with some small areas of rust. The S has been repainted in the original Polo Red color. A garage find such as this 911 is a rare find as well as being complete, correct and in very good condition it is an excellent candidate for a full restoration. $139,500.

Interesting that fog light don't appear to be correct and there is no aluminum strips on the garnish rails. Does however, have the end caps on the inner door handles as was "S" standard. Wonder if the strips were a later addition to the "S" line since this was a Euro car of very early run.
The alu strips on the garnish rails were also for Euro cars present from the start; missing here. Also window wipers have been painted black on this Targa S and point to the wrong direction; replaced by later setup?
Anyhow, a very nice find! Glws!
Also interesting as study object, just like any other early Porsche car that has been untouched for decades.

Well done! Good job for both seller and buyer.
It sure is nice to see a project that complete and relatively un messed with. There's a lot of structural rust in that car though. Sure doesn't take much salt exposure.
