Since when is Sepia considered special order for 1970?
I suspect someone who is a member here knows this car.
Care to volunteer info?
the color held it back IMO.

Held it back from where.....
Let's man up and assess the sale without worrying about our portfolios.......
I am looking for a 2- driver that all I need to do is throw a supportive seat into and have an adventure the does not start with positioning on a lawn......
.... I think this is a fair evaluation point. Seller did not like it but frankly I am a buyer..... I do not buy on yesterday's news or markets and I am certainly not worried about its future value.....

As the owner of a Sepia colored car, I have no doubt that the color played a role in it's no sale. There are some days when I wish I had a 911 in any color other than Sepia. I try to justify to myself that it is an OK color and it is just that, OK. In some lights it looks great and in others it looks like baby sh!t. When you are spending that much on a car, it has to be something that appeals to you...unless you're an investor or a dealer. Sepia apparently did not speak to any of the bidders.

Wow. An objective Sepia car owner. Kudos to you Chris.
If I ever want honest advice I will definitely ask you.
Does any one think this original Sepia car would have done better in the auction if it was changed to say Conda Green, Tangerine, Slate Grey, signal Orange or any other "popular colors"?
