Nice piece Damien. Can't believe it hasn't sold already.

Thank you Scott. Pretty rare in this condition and I think fairly priced....

Is it possible to leave the sale price so that others can use it as a point of reference for future transactions? Thanks.
If I remember right the price was $900.
I have another one or two that I will be happy to sell for $900. Just send me a PM ;-)

The fallacy is that early parts prices are consistent and past sales are a reflection of today's prices. In 6 months this comp will be stale.
Yes, in 6 months it may be. However, the price in 6 months, unless pulled from the ether, will likely be somewhat predicated on recent prices, and those recent prices on prices before them. This isn't a difficult concept or a point of contention, it is a simple request.
Thank you to the original poster for replying.
I would argue that "comps" for semi-rare and rare parts are a moving target.
Just to play devil's advocate; if I needed a widget for a 69 911 and the only one on the market was $400, I would pay it. It wouldn't matter that someone sold one the week before for $200.
I believe that's one reason most sellers remove their asking price once their widget is sold.
