The bolt spacing for standard M Type Cast Iron Calipers was 3" compared to 3.5" for the Aluminium S Caliper.
I think that the SC 'A' Type Cast Iron Caliper with the 3.5" mounting was introduced in 1977.
The pin that holds the ball joint on the early strut is parallel sided and this changed to a tapered pin in about 1971.
'69-'73 A-arms are identical. The actual strut for '69-'71 used a pinch through bolt to secure the ball joint peg....from '72 on the strut used a wedge pin, and the ball joints were different from that point on having a "V" in the peg rather than a round notch for the through bolt in '69-'71. The SWB bits are ALL different, and would be a different discussion. Caliper spacing is the same '69-'73 depending on cast iron M or alloy S.

No - you will have to use a strut with a 3.5" caliper mount.
These would have been fitted to either a 1969 or later S. E or cars with Sportomatic Transmission.
Any early strut which was originally fitted with a cast iron caliper doesn't work.
You could fit later struts from an SC as these will have 3.52 mounts.
If your body shell is pre-May 1970 you will also need to fit the early camber mount otherwise caster adjustment will be compromised.
Later style camber mounts will fit but as they are a larger diameter they don't provide the correct adjustment capability on the earlier shell.
The 1970 Workshop manual clearly shows the inner wing differences.

A 1969 911S is most likely to have been fitted with Koni Stuts whilst a 911T would have most likely have been fitted with BOGE struts.
This has me a bit puzzled. I'm going to have to go inspect my car further. The prior owner told me my 1972 911T was fitted with S brakes, but the calipers hold a magnet so they must be steel. The only thing is my car has orange shocks all the way around which I understand means they're probably koni shocks.
