BaT Description:
This 1969 Porsche 911T reportedly sat disassembled for 10 years before the seller acquired it in 2000 from the prior owner’s son. Subsequent refurbishment included installing a 1977 2.7L flat-six and 901/13 5-speed manual gearbox, refreshing the brakes and suspension, and commissioning a re-paint in its current shade. Modifications include pressure-fed tensioners, rebuilt 40mm Weber carburetors, a PermaTune ignition box, Pertronix module, Fuchs-style wheels, and RS carpeting and door panels. The Turbo spoiler, steel widebody fenders, and short hood were added by the previous owner in Southern California. The car has been driven about 15k miles by the seller, and servicing in the last year included new plugs, a valve adjustment, new rear tires, and a recent oil change. A new clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate were installed 10k miles ago, and this 911 is now being offered with part receipts and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name.
Prior to the seller’s purchase, the body was fitted with steel Turbo flares, a short hood, rear tea tray spoiler, and an aftermarket front valence. Sheet metal forward of the struts appears to have been repaired at some point, and the driver-side floor pan was also replaced. Panel fitment shows considerable unevenness up front, and cracks on the front lower valance. The body was repainted in 2001 and is said to now show minor rock chips. 15″ Fuchs-style wheels were fitted with front 225/50 Kumho Ecstas four years ago, as well as rear 275/50 Nitto NT555Rs last year.
Interior modifications include a roll bar, RS carpets and door panels, and bolstered black leatherette seats. Some tears are noted in the stitching of the lower cushions on both front seats, and the headliner would benefit from replacement. 5-gauge VDO instrumentation is present, and the 70k indicated miles are not believed accurate. No radio is installed and the heater/defroster is disconnected. Some scratches are present on the passenger-side of the windshield.
The 2.7L flat-six is from a 1977 911 and was installed by the seller with Carrera-style tensioners, 1969-style header/heat exchangers, and an 11-blade cooling fan. The 40mm Weber carburetors were rebuilt by Harry Bieker Engineering and included new throttle shafts. Ignition components include a PermaTune ignition box, Bosch distributor, and Pertronix module. According to the seller, the vehicle occasionally smokes on start up and leaks some oil. A valve adjustment was performed 1,000 miles ago, and the spark plugs were replaced at the same time. The oil was recently changed, and parts receipts from the seller’s 17 years of ownership are included. The engine number is #6273006. A non-original 1969 901/13 5-speed manual gearbox is equipped with a 4.42:1 ring and pinion gears. The clutch, pressure plate, and 215mm flywheel were replaced approximately 10k miles ago. The seller has provided the following gear ratios:
1st = 3.09 (11:34)
2nd = 1.889 (18:34)
3rd = 1.318 (22:29)
4th = 1.04 (25:26)
5th = .79 (29:23)
The seller had the calipers rebuilt and added a new 19mm master cylinder, rotors, pads, parking brake shoes, and braided brake lines. Turbo tie rods and new poly bushings were fitted in the front end.

BaT Description:
This 1970 Porsche 911T is a modified example that was raced in multiple Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) events before it was stripped and rebuilt to its current configuration in 2013. It was acquired by the selling dealer two and a half years ago, with additional updates made during his ownership. The body was disassembled and repainted red during the initial build, and GTS Classic Le Mans seats, a Momo Prototipo steering wheel, and a recovered dash wear added by the seller. The 2.2L flat-six and 5-speed manual were sourced from a 1970 911S, and modifications include 911E cams, Weber carbs, and an Electromotive twin plug ignition. Multiple chassis modifications including Koni shock absorbers are detailed below, and the car is now offered with an HSR logbook and a clean Ohio title.
All body panels are believed original with no known accidents or other body repairs known by the seller. The car was repainted its current red during the 2013 build, and multiple race themed decals are present across various panels. Porsche cookie cutter wheels have been powder coated black and are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza tires. Suspension modifications include Koni shock absorbers, Sway Away spring plates, upgraded torsion bars, S brakes, delrin suspension bushings, and monoball inboard trailing arm bushings.
A set of black GTS Classic Le Mans style seats with Corbeau harnesses were added by the seller. The rear seat was removed and a delete kit has been fitted in its place, and the stereo was removed around the same time. A Momo Prototipo steering wheel was installed, and the original wheel is included in the sale. The dash was pulled and sent to Just Dashes to have a large crack repaired early in the seller’s ownership. While the dash was out, some rust was noted where the A-pillar meets the dash, which the seller sealed and refinished. The tachometer was non-functional when the car was acquired due to the aftermarket ignition system but has since been repaired. Approximately 94,700 miles are shown. The handle for the hood release safety switch is broken, but is still able to be opened.
Power comes from a 2.2L inline-six from a 1970 911S that was modified during the initial build in 2013. It is fitted with E cams, an Electromotive twin-plug ignition, and Weber 40 IDTP carbs. A 5-speed manual from a 911S sends power to the rear wheels. Some corrosion is noted on the original floor panels, and numerous undercarriage photos have been provided by the seller detailing the condition of the chassis and suspension. A log book from the car’s time racing with HSR is included in the sale along with the original radio, speakers, and set of windshield wipers.

Description:
The car was built/restored/hot rodded in 2013 by a fellow pelican in Canada who eventually sent it to the US. If I had the money available, I would jump on this in a second, but unfortunately I have a race car that takes up my paychecks.
From a reliability standpoint, I wouldn't think twice about taking this car on a long road trip - it's ready to go. It's also got the grunt and handling to embarrass much newer cars. I imagine it would be a perfect occasional HPDE warrior.
Location: Mill Valley, CA. I can assist in shipping if needed, but all costs will go to buyer. I could also deliver the car to a reasonable location (northern California).
