. . . but I 1st heard this as the opening score for the Huntley-Brinkley Report . . .
. . . WAY BACK --- before it was called the NBC Evening News . . .
. . . which is how I remember it, even now
Can never forget David Brinkley's oh-so-particular cadence --- whenever he spoke . . .

It’s gotta be “Little Green Bag” by the George Baker Selection from 1969 - which was cool WAY before it was featured in “Reservoir Dogs”![]()

LYRICS
Yeah
Lookin' back on the track for a little green bag
Got to find just a kind or losin' my mind
Out of sight in the night, out of sight in the day
Lookin' back on the track gonna do it my way
Out of sight in the night, out of sight in the day
Lookin' back on the track gonna do it my way
Lookin' back
Lookin' for some happiness
But there is so a loneliness to find
Turn to the left turn to the right
Lookin' upstairs lookin' behind
Lookin' for some happiness
But there is so a loneliness to find
Turn to the left turn to the right
Lookin' upstairs lookin' behind
Lookin' back on the track for a little green bag
Got to find just a kind or losin' my mind
Out of sight in the night, out sight in the day
Lookin' back on the track gonna do it my way
Lookin' back on the track for a little little green bag
Got to find just a kind or losin' my mind
Lookin' for some happiness
But there is so a loneliness to find
Turn to the left turn to the right
Lookin' upstairs lookin' behind
Lookin' for some happiness
But there is so a loneliness to find
Turn to the left turn to the right
Lookin' upstairs lookin' behind

As the leaves are falling and a chill is in the air....
A faint smell of distant smoky fire in a fireplace....
The sun begins to sink below the horizon and the sky is mix of blues, pinks and orange.....
This song plays on the long winding ride home....

jean-michel Jarre, Oxygene pt.4. I remember cruising down the Autobahn with my dad in an Audi S2 quattro 20v in the middle of the night on a weekend. No traffic, floored at 140 mph all the way with this on. At least 25 years ago, but i still listen to that tune and i will never forget the addictive tune of that 5 cylinder. Even back then i thought that Quattro system could handle at least twice the power.
