Pretty odd that they put narrow trim on the front bumper in this expensive "restoration."

    Dealer Description:

RMC Miami now offering the best 911 T on the market right now. This particular model was imported from Japan where the recent nut and bolt restoration took place. The Photos below speak for themselves. From the engine bay to the floor boards the entirety of the car is so clean it could easily be put into any concourse display.

Exterior wise and interior wise the car is mint, there is nothing needed to be done. The light yellow paint is flawless and looks stunning from every angle.
The seats look fantastic sporting rare optioned Porsche crest seat belts. The carpeting is all brand new and underneath the carpets the floors are in
amazing condition. Sit in the driver seat and taking a look around you feel like your in 1972, the headliner the dashboard everything is like new.

The 911 T (Touring) has a 2.4-litre engine across the range for 1972. This Car is fueled by Zenith 40 T1N carburetors, and the 2.4s were first to receive the new 915 five-speed gearbox.

Wind up windows and iconic sunroof delete make this super cool vintage car that much more desirable. However, it's for the notorious 'Oil Flap' that the '72 cars will be remembered. For just one year of production in 1972, in an attempt to move as much weight as possible towards the center of the car, the oil tank was re positioned inboard of the right rear wheel arch, resulting in the introduction of an external oil filler cap on the right-hand side rear wing behind a flap ('Oel Klappe'). The propensity for petrol station attendants to fill the oil tank with fuel, and the resulting warranty claims, quickly persuaded Porsche to change the design and 1972 'Oel Klappe' cars became difficult to sell, possibly resulting in their comparative scarcity today. As is often the case, that rarity has resulted in the 'Oel Klappe' cars now being the most desirable.

Early 911s possess a certain purity of line, particularly in lighter colors, a complete world away from the aerodynamic extravagances of the eighties and nineties, and in terms of style, it's the early cars that engender the most appreciative glances. A well set-up and maintained 911 T, driven with an intelligent right foot will provide some of the most quintessentially rewarding driving experiences you have ever had, and even the 130 bhp 911T, will leave you with a serious grin.

Appears to be original motor and transmission within correct number ranges.

Best line from ad is last one. "Appears to be original motor and transmission". They know enough to know it's within the range but the phone call to confirm was too much work? What's up with the VIN tag in trunk? Casting a shadow on panel.

    BaT Description:

This 1973 Porsche 911T Targa was acquired by the seller 25 years ago. The flat-six was rebuilt less than 13k miles ago with 3.0L pistons and was partially re-sealed during an engine out service earlier this year. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox, and a repaint in a non-original shade was performed under previous ownership. Approximately $25k of receipts beginning in 2000 reportedly accompany the vehicle, and this 911T is now being offered for sale at no reserve with the records and a clean Utah title in the seller’s name.

The body was repainted in its current shade of white sometime prior to the seller’s ownership. A 911S-style front bumper has been installed some time ago, along with a 911S rear badge and gold Porsche badging. 15” Fuchs wheels are retained. The removable targa top is shown up close. Sport seats from a later 911 have been reupholstered in black leather with perforated inserts. The factory 4-spoke steering wheel remains in place, and an older aftermarket stereo has been installed. Approximately 63k miles are reportedly shown on the odometer.

The flat-six was rebuilt in 2011 with 3.0L pistons, stainless steel headers, turbo chain rails, a recurved distributor with electronic ignition, and a Kevlar clutch. Work was performed by Motor Meister of Downey, California, and a receipt for over $20k is viewable in the gallery. More recently, an engine-out service was completed earlier this year, and fresh valve cover seals, oil cooler seals, and oil return tube kits and seals were installed. Records dating back approximately 18 years are also included in the sale.

    BaT (Dealer) Description:

This Porsche 911T Targa is a 1973.5 model with CIS fuel injection that is finished in its original combination of Sepia Brown over Brown leatherette and is believed by the seller to have been a California car from new. Previous owners included the proprietor of Eurotech in Newark, California, from whose estate the car was recently acquired by the selling dealer. Power is from a numbers-matching 2.4-liter flat-six which has been rebuilt to 2.7-liter specifications and is paired with a 915 5-speed transaxle. Factory options include sport seats, Fuchs wheels, stabilizer bars, Comfort Equipment, tinted glass, and more. A refurbishment completed largely prior to the seller’s purchase include a glass-out repaint, front suspension pan replacement, new seals and gaskets, and Targa top restoration, with fewer than 500 miles added since. This Targa is now offered with records to 1990, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean California title.

The Sepia Brown exterior is shown in detailed gallery photos below, and the car is reportedly equipped with “S” appearance trim and a steel front bumper. The seller removed the OEM front bumperettes and replaced the S front molding with one that hadn’t been drilled. Factory hardware received fresh cadmium plating during the refurbishment. This Targa retains optional 15″ Fuchs wheels, which are mounted with a matching set of Michelin MXV2 tires installed less than 500 miles ago. The brakes were reportedly replaced during the previous refreshment.

The factory sport seats have been recovered in brown leather upholstery, while the rest of the trim retains factory-correct leatherette material. The cabin retains a factory-style radio, carpeting, steering wheel, and trim. The mechanical odometer shows 59k miles, approximately 20k of which were added by the previous owner over 15 years.

The original 2.4-liter flat-six was rebuilt to 2.7 specifications less than 500 miles ago according to the seller. Approximately 30 pages of records are provided in the gallery, many from the prior owner’s business Eurotech in Newark, California. Engine #6136026 matches the CoA as original to this chassis as well as the transmission #7731454. The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity states that this car left the factory finished in Sepia Brown over Brown leatherette with all the aforementioned options. The original engine, transmission, and chassis numbers.
