Thread: Ultimate ST thread

I did not remember where I got that photo, but now I do. Thank you Thomas Lundeval for your fantastic 'Old rally photos, Porsche 911' thread !

Maybe this was one of those DE Market 1970MY stripped (without m470) cars ? (well stripped except for a sunroof ).

Some time back in this thread it was pointed out that the torsion bar hole for the ST flares was different from the RS or later holes. I recently found a pair of real ST flares (more later on this barn find), and here are some pics of the torsion hole as compared to a factory RS flare. I just felt we needed to document how the hole differed from the later RS.

Hi , I just read your thread about 911STs. All that information about these cars is really impressive. Thus I hope you can help me. I am from Germany and would need some information about a car, driven by Dieter Franke in the GT championship between 71 and 73 (please see the attached picture). Does anybody know something about the driver or the car?
    Thanks and best regards
    Philipp

You could probably find out something about both car and driver from Freisinger Motorsport.

Manfred F. , is listed as entering a '911S' in a race in germany with Dieter Franke as driver in Oct., 1971.

If this is about the ebay car , that would surely be funny.

    Hugh,

Would you happen to have another link, or a title, for this thread that you reference? That link is now outdated and I can't find the thread with a search.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

Maybe it is this oil tank visible on Strähle 911 on Freisinger shop ?
