    How rare is a 67 softwindow 911s???

hallo all, happy newyear to you from Belgium.

I was wondering hpwmany 911S Softwindows were produced?
the production numbering going by the published lists (restorersguide to authenticity etc.) is confusing to me.

it seems that the numbering is the same for regular 2.0 and S with them adding an S after the vin in the factory.

does anyone know howmany were S?

maybe it would be cool if we could get photos up here of all S Softwindow cars we know about and see howmany have survived over the years.

this is a photo of 500600S and 500614S with their former owner in Redondo Beach California

    Kobus,

You and I have talked in the past.

Did you get these two cars? I am familiar with them, they used to be here in my home town.

    regards,
    Eric

it's nice to see that porsche managed to sell more S cars that first year they became available, great marketing, and a definite demand for faster porsches by the public in 67

What is the latest on the more esoteric LWB soft window targas? Are there any firmer numbers than previous estimates of ~12 911S cars produced in 1969 (Not based on data-driven facts, only what other people told me).

Do not know how many total LWB soft window cars have been produced (69 - 72, S, E, T) with soft rear window, though we know of cars (all 911T's though) ordered up until 1972.

I also do not have a clue on # of 68S with soft window. Anybody knows?

I stand by my, most recently counted number of 360
(although not published in a book). As for 68S Softie, I've no data but perhaps "my source near the Alps," will count these next. Question however, in '68 did we have both sofies and hardies LOL...No really, did we have both that year? I honestly don't remember). Further, in the not too distant future, I am assured we will see further published info. via, but no from, "my source near the Alps" on this site from a source other than myself. Thanks.
